# Deposits

> How to receive stablecoins in Fiber, including deposit addresses, Fast and Standard deposits, timing, statuses, failed deposits, wrong networks, exchanges, native coins, Stellar, and the Spam inbox.

A deposit starts as an ordinary public transfer to an address in your wallet. Fiber then moves the funds into your private balance for you. Once you've sent, there is nothing else to do.

## Make a deposit

1. On Home, tap **Receive**. On the web, it's **Receive privately**.
2. Under **Stablecoins**, pick **USDC** or **USDT**. Other listed assets are under **More assets**. Bank transfers are under **US Bank Transfer** (see [Virtual Accounts](/virtual-accounts)).
3. Choose the network you are sending from.
4. Copy the address or scan the QR code, then send from your wallet or exchange.

The address screen follows the deposit through **Waiting for transfer**, **Received**, **Processing**, and **Done**.

To get money from another Fiber user, skip the address. Under **On Fiber**, share your Fibertag instead. Transfers between Fiber users are instant and free.

## Your deposit address

- **One address for EVM networks.** The same address receives every listed asset on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Unichain, BNB Smart Chain, Robinhood Chain, Monad, Arc, HyperEVM, and Plasma. Only the coin and network pairs in [Supported Assets & Networks](/chains) are routed into your balance.
- **A fresh address each time.** Fiber creates a new address every time you request one, so one address doesn't link all your deposits. Earlier addresses stay valid and keep receiving.
- **Your own keys.** Every deposit address is derived from your wallet seed, the same seed in your [encrypted backup](/wallet-backup).
- **Solana and Stellar** use their own addresses. Solana accepts USDC only. Stellar works differently; see [Stellar](#stellar).

## Fast and Standard deposits

Standard is the default and has no fee.

For USDC sent from Ethereum, Arbitrum, Unichain, or Solana, you can turn on **Fast deposit** before you copy the address:

| Route | Standard | Fast |
| --- | --- | --- |
| USDC from Ethereum | 15–19 min, no fee | About 20 sec, fee applies |
| USDC from Arbitrum or Unichain | 15–19 min, no fee | About 8 sec, fee applies |
| USDC from Solana | About 25 sec, no fee | About 8 sec, fee applies |

The Fast fee is Circle's fast-transfer rate. The app shows it as a percentage before you copy the address. The address locks in that fee. If the rate rises before your deposit arrives, Fiber stops instead of charging you more, and the deposit shows as failed until support finishes it.

Base and Polygon USDC already arrive in seconds with no fee. USDT has no Fast option.

Fiber charges no deposit fee. Your wallet or exchange may charge its own withdrawal or network fee.

## How long deposits take

Base is instant. USDC on Polygon, Monad, Arc, HyperEVM, and Stellar takes seconds. Standard USDC from Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Unichain takes 15–19 minutes. Most USDT routes take 1–35 minutes. USDT from HyperEVM takes about 12 hours. The full table is in [Supported Assets & Networks](/chains#deposits).

The estimate starts when the network confirms your transfer. An exchange may hold a withdrawal before it sends it.

## Deposit statuses

In **History**, a deposit shows as **Processing**, **Received at** a time, or **Failed to receive**. While it is still moving, Home shows it in the pending activity pill, and the deposit's detail screen reads "Making your deposit private."

Fiber sends **Deposit received**, **Deposit complete**, and **Deposit failed** notifications by push and email. Change them in **Settings > Notification settings > Account activity**.

Native coins and unlisted tokens complete as soon as they arrive and don't send these notifications.

## If a deposit fails

A failed deposit means an automatic step didn't finish. It does not mean the money is gone. The funds reached an address your wallet controls, and the app tells you they are safe but not yet in your private balance.

**Don't send the money again.** Open the deposit in History, tap **Ask Fiber**, and ask for a person. Support can finish the deposit for you. Include the deposit's reference, which starts with `DP`. It is safe to share.

| What the app says | What happened |
| --- | --- |
| The fast deposit fee increased after this address was created | Circle's fast fee rose, so Fiber stopped before charging more |
| Fast settlement was temporarily unavailable | Circle's fast-transfer capacity ran out |
| This network no longer has an available deposit route | The route from that network closed |
| A network was unavailable before the deposit finished | A network outage interrupted it. Check again later, or contact support |
| Your funds arrived, but we couldn't move them into your private balance | The step into your private balance failed |
| We couldn't finish this deposit | Something else went wrong |

## Wrong network or unsupported token

What happens depends on where the funds went.

- **An unlisted token on a supported network**, for example USDT on Base, or a token with a similar name. It lands at your address and shows as an unlisted token, or in the Spam inbox. It stays public and isn't moved into your private balance. If it has a market price, you can sell it from its token page.
- **A network Fiber doesn't watch**, for example USDT on opBNB. Fiber can't see the deposit, so it never appears in the app. Your EVM address and key are the same on every EVM network, though, so the funds sit at an address your wallet controls. You can get them out yourself with your [wallet backup](/wallet-backup) and the [browser recovery page](/recovery/browser), which finds the address and sends the funds. The address needs a little of that network's gas coin, such as BNB on opBNB. See [Recovery Tools](/recovery).
- **A non-USDC token on Solana**, such as SOL. It isn't shown in Fiber. The [Fiber CLI](/recovery/cli) can recover the Solana key.

## Depositing from an exchange

- Pick the withdrawal network whose name matches the one you chose in Fiber. For USDT on BNB Smart Chain, choose **BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20)**, not opBNB. For Arbitrum, choose **Arbitrum One**.
- If the exchange asks which platform or wallet you're sending to and Fiber isn't listed, choose the option for a personal wallet, not an exchange.
- Avoid Stellar for exchange withdrawals that may sit in a queue. A Stellar address only works for 10 minutes.
- Send a small test amount first.

## Native coins and other tokens

ETH on Ethereum, Base, and Arbitrum, and BNB on BNB Smart Chain, show in your balance as soon as they arrive. Native coins stay at your public address. They aren't moved into your private balance and don't earn rewards. You can sell them from their asset page.

Other tokens that land in your wallet show as **Unlisted**. Fiber treats them as high risk. You can sell an unlisted token if it has a price, or mark it as spam.

## Spam inbox

**Settings > Spam** lists tokens hidden from your balances. Tap **Accept** on any you want to keep.

Fiber hides an unlisted token when it has no market data, is flagged as a scam, has little liquidity, has no price, or hasn't been sold in the last day. It never hides native coins or listed assets.

## Stellar

Stellar accepts Circle-issued USDC only. No memo is needed.

- Each Stellar address works for **10 minutes** after it's ready. The screen shows "Ready · valid until" a time, and copying is off while the address is being prepared.
- A payment that arrives before the address closes is still processed. After it closes, the address can't receive.
- If nothing arrives in time, Fiber sends an alert. Tap **Create new Stellar address** to get another one.
- Don't send XLM or other Stellar tokens.
