# Permissionless & Global

> Work has become remote, distributed, and international. Money now moves globally through stablecoins and public blockchains.

Your finances should be global too.

Yet much of the financial system still depends on local banks, national
borders, limited operating hours, and institutions that decide where and how
your money can be used.

Fiber was built to be a new financial home for a more global world.

## Permissionless Money

Stablecoins and other blockchain-based assets can move across borders without
relying entirely on traditional banking rails.

They can be received, held, and transferred through open networks that operate
beyond banking hours and are not controlled by a single financial institution.

But owning permissionless assets is only part of the equation. How those assets
are held matters too.

## How You Hold Your Money Matters

Crypto and stablecoins are often held through exchanges, banks, brokerages, and
other custodians.

Even when the underlying asset is permissionless, the institution holding it
may still control withdrawals, restrict accounts, or limit where it can be
used.

Fiber is non-custodial. You remain in control of your assets and authorize
transactions through your own wallet infrastructure.

Permissionless money is most useful when the way you manage it preserves that
same individual control.

## Financial Sovereignty

Financial sovereignty means having greater ownership, privacy, and control over
your financial life.

Fiber allows users to:

- Hold and transfer supported digital assets
- Keep supported balances and activity private
- Earn rewards on eligible stablecoins
- Trade crypto, digital metals, and tokenized US stocks
- Deposit and withdraw across supported networks

Fiber combines the openness of onchain finance with the simplicity of a modern
financial app.

## Privacy and Personal Information

Fiber is designed to minimize the personal information required for its core
experience and to give users greater control over how their financial activity
is publicly connected to them.

Fiber may collect limited information needed for account access, security,
support, fraud prevention, and product operation, as described in its Privacy
Policy.

Optional regulated products may require additional information, identity
verification, eligibility checks, and separate terms.

## Global Availability

Fiber is designed for global use, but availability may vary by jurisdiction,
asset, network, regulation, and third-party provider requirements.

The Fiber app should be treated as the current source of truth for available
products and features.
