# Assistant & Support

> What the Fiber assistant can do, how to confirm actions it proposes, its memory and daily limit, how to reach a person, what happens after you ask, other support channels, connecting ChatGPT, and sending feedback.

The Fiber assistant is the front door for help. It can read your account, answer questions about Fiber, and hand the conversation to the Fiber team when a person needs to look.

## Open the assistant

- **Mobile:** tap your name at the top of Home and choose **Chat with assistant**. On a failed activity, **Ask Fiber** opens the assistant with that activity attached.
- **Web:** the **Assistant** dock along the bottom of the screen. You can open more than one conversation and resize them. At phone width, it's in the account menu.

## What it can do

- Show your balances, holdings, and recent activity, and summarize a month: money in and out, investments, and rewards.
- Look up prices, compare assets on a chart, and research assets, including ones Fiber doesn't list.
- Give you a deposit address once you've picked the coin and the network. For USDC on Arbitrum, use **Receive** in the app.
- Explain how Fiber works, from these docs and fiber.so.
- Prepare a send or a trade when you ask for one with an exact amount.

**Nothing moves until you confirm.** For a send or trade, the assistant shows a card with the exact details. Tap **Confirm** and pass the security check to run it. A send card expires after 10 minutes and a trade card after 4 minutes. After that, ask again.

The assistant answers in the language you write in. The app itself is available in English, Spanish, and French.

## Memory

The assistant can remember useful details between conversations, such as your preferences or goals. On mobile, open **Settings > Assistant** to read or edit its memory. You and the assistant can both change it. The assistant is told not to save passwords, codes, keys, backup details, full addresses, or balances. Don't add them yourself.

## Daily limit

Each account has a daily assistant allowance. If you reach it, you'll see "You've reached today's Assistant limit. Try again tomorrow." It resets at midnight UTC. A chat that's already with the Fiber team doesn't count toward it. If you hit the limit before asking for a person, email support@fiber.so.

## Talking to a person

Ask in the chat. Writing "I'd like to talk to a person" is enough. The assistant also offers a handoff when an account problem needs the team, such as missing or blocked funds, verification, a security concern, or anything it can't resolve.

What happens next:

1. "Your request is saved. We are connecting you with the team."
2. "Waiting for the team. You can keep writing here." Add anything useful, such as the activity reference, the date, and the amount.
3. "You are chatting with the Fiber team." Replies appear in the same chat, labeled **Fiber support**. You'll get a "Fiber support replied" notification.
4. "Resolved. Reply to reopen, or return to the assistant."

**Return to assistant** hands the chat back to the AI. If you write again after a request is resolved, Fiber opens a new request that includes the earlier conversation.

The team replies during business hours, Pacific time, and there's no guaranteed response time. One conversation per issue is enough. Keeping everything in one chat gives the team the full history.

## Other ways to reach us

- **Email:** support@fiber.so
- **Phone:** when you're signed in on the web, **Call support** in the sidebar or account menu shows the number for account help. For questions before you open an account, call (929) 374-2691. Phones are answered during business hours, Pacific time.

## Keep your account safe while getting help

Share the activity reference, such as `DP…` or `TX…`, the date, the amount, the network, and a public transaction hash if you have one. These are safe to share.

Never share verification codes, passwords, your wallet backup file or its password, or private keys. Fiber will never ask for them. See [Account Security](/account-security#avoiding-scams) for Fiber's official websites and social accounts.

## Connect ChatGPT

You can let ChatGPT read your Fiber account.

1. In an empty assistant chat, tap **Connect to ChatGPT**. On the web, use the connect button in the assistant dock.
2. Copy the prompt into ChatGPT, then sign in to Fiber when ChatGPT asks.
3. Review the access and tap **Allow connection**.

ChatGPT can view your account, balances, portfolio, contacts, activity, and the asset catalog. It cannot send money, trade, create deposit addresses, or change anything in Fiber. To disconnect, remove the Fiber connector in ChatGPT's settings.

## Feedback and bug reports

**Settings > Feedback** in the app lets you report a bug or suggest an idea, with up to five screenshots. You can have up to 10 open requests, and Fiber notifies you as they're reviewed. On the web, use **Report a bug**.
